Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Next Time is built on a simple belief: the notes you keep about the people in your life are yours. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Next Time has no accounts. You don't sign up. We have no record of who uses the app. There is no Next Time server that knows you exist.

1. What We Collect

1.1 Your App Data

Everything you add to Next Time (the people and notes you keep) is stored on your device and synced to your iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. We never see this data. It lives in your iCloud, under your Apple ID, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it.

1.2 Anonymous Analytics (TelemetryDeck)

Next Time uses TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous, non-personally identifiable usage data. This helps us understand how the app is being used so we can improve it.

TelemetryDeck never collects personally identifiable information. All data is anonymized before it leaves your device using double-hashing. No one, including us, can trace it back to you. We never see your name, email address, IP address, or anything you've written in the app.

The anonymous data we collect may include:

We do not collect what you write, who you add, or anything personal. Only aggregate, anonymous signals about how the app behaves.

1.3 Purchase Information

Next Time is available via a monthly subscription, annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime unlock. Payments are processed entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see or store your payment details.

We use RevenueCat to manage and verify your subscription status. RevenueCat receives your App Store purchase history and an anonymous identifier. It never receives your notes, the people you add, or anything else you've written in the app.

2. How We Use This Information

3. What We Cannot Do

We cannot read your notes or the people you've added. They live in your private iCloud database, which we have no access to. This is not a policy promise. It is how the app is built.

We cannot sell your data. There is nothing on our servers to sell.

We cannot share your personal information with advertisers. We do not collect any.

We cannot identify you from the analytics we receive. All signals are anonymized before they leave your device.

4. Third-Party Services

TelemetryDeck collects anonymous analytics. Their privacy policy is available at telemetrydeck.com/privacy

Apple CloudKit stores your app data in your personal iCloud account. Apple's privacy policy applies: apple.com/privacy

Apple App Store processes purchases and subscriptions.

RevenueCat manages and verifies subscriptions on our behalf. It receives your purchase history and an anonymous identifier, never your notes or the people you add. Their privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy

5. Data Retention

Your app data lives in your iCloud account and is retained according to your iCloud settings. You can delete all your data at any time from within the app under Settings → Your data → Delete all data.

Anonymous analytics data is retained by TelemetryDeck per their standard retention policy. We do not store any raw analytics data on our own servers.

6. Your Rights

Because we don't store your personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to give you access to, correct, or delete on your behalf. Your data is in your iCloud account. You own it and control it.

You can delete all your data at any time from within the app under Settings → Your data → Delete all data. You can also manage or delete your iCloud data directly in iOS Settings.

For any questions, contact us at hello@thenexttime.app. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

Next Time is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Security

Your app data is encrypted in transit and at rest via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we use industry-standard practices throughout.

You can add an extra layer of protection by enabling Face ID or passcode lock under Settings → App lock. This prevents anyone with physical access to your device from opening Next Time without your authentication.

Reminder notifications default to a privacy mode that hides note contents on the lock screen. You can choose the level of detail shown under Settings → Notifications & Reminders.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will notify you within the app.
